Lemon Popperz - Super Dope (CA)
The last go-around with Super Dope’s Rosin, Lemon Popperz was the one that I couldn’t ever get my hands on. Probably because the wash numbers were quite low, there always seemed to be fewer jars of the Lemon Popperz per drop, and to that end I never tried Gelonade as rosin until earlier this year.

Trich Beast - Ryder Farms
Ryder Farms had been telling me about Trich Beast and some Solfire hybrids they had been running in their garden, and as like other Solfire strains from recent reviews, I’ve been pleasantly surprised. So far Ryder Farms is batting 1000 with samples and the heat doesn’t end there.

Cherry Popperz - Super Dope (CA)
Now that we’ve covered the new additions to the Super Dope lines, let’s bring it back to where it started with Cherry Popperz. We can talk about the branding a different time, but the headline with this batch is that it’s on a whole new level of quality than before and it’s something you just gotta try to believe.

Glueberry - Ryder Farms
Glueberry is another strain I’ve been dying to try from Ryder Farms for a while now, with this one passing me up on a few times as hash and flower. This was another strain that was hyped up beyond belief, and after smoking this and the Sour Glue, it’s really difficult for me to decide which is better.

Biscotti - District Chiefer House Curation
Most hardcore enthusiasts, especially younger folks, are huge fans of Biscotti, and I’m no different. I’ve tried it a handful of times from brands like Doja and Connected, who, along with Berner who named the strain, paved the way for the strain to become a mainstay.

Sour Glue - Ryder Farms
Ryder Farms has set their stake in the ground, but don’t get it twisted, these guys are not just showing up out of thin air. Sour Glue has been moving around the traditional market from the Maine underground scene, and it’s gotten a reputation from the proverbial beta testers for being truly lethal smoke.

Chem DD - Tread Lightly Collective
I reviewed Chem D from Skunkfoot Farms a few weeks ago and really enjoyed the classic one note Chem, but there are tons of other Chem hybrids out there that are more complex in many traits and Chem DD (“double D”) is one of those. Chem DD is Top Dawg Seeds’ take on adding more complexity to the Chemdog line, and succeeds with its lime juice flavor and a much heavier body effects.

Duck Sauce - Ted’s Budz
Of all of the distros of popular sweet strains in the LA area, Ted’s Budz is possibly the most infamous, and their signature Duck Sauce is one I’ve been dying to try for years. They made waves about two years ago when they released this strain with a clear direct print bag meant to look like a duck sauce wrapper, and it’s one of the most successful strain branding campaigns.

Gary Payton x Sherbanger - Upstate Gardens
I reviewed the rosin version of this strain earlier in the year, but Terpy Dabber hooked it up with the flower version, which I was super hyped to try. I really liked the Zsunami flower I tried from them, so was expecting more of the same type of quality, which for the most part was delivered. Right out of the jar, these nugs are obviously resinous and well manicured.

Gummiez - Shmu the Canna Prophet house curation
Gummiez was a strain I first tried a few years ago when I believe Papermill Cannabis Co. tried his hand at growing it, and I remember enjoying the candy peach rings flavor to it. This version off of Shmu’s curation is quite different, starting with the cinnamon front note, but it retains a lot of the great effect features I love.

Mega Z Emerald - Super Dope (CA)
Mega Z Emerald is another one of the newer Super Dope flavors that I hadn’t gotten to try, and boy am I glad I finally did, thanks to District Chiefer. Emerald hit the scene about a year and a half ago with an immense amount of fanfare following it’s Miron batch debut.

Oishii - The TenCo.
TenCo, has been up to quite a wide range of flavors as of late, many of them varieties that have yet to be released by any brand. Oishii isn’t one of those, it’s a collab with Archive Seeds, but it certainly surfs the Z wave TenCo. has made their name off. Frankly, I’ve been really hard on TenCo lately because their flavors simply don’t live up to the brand name.

Strawberry Meltshake - Trichomies
Hash nerds have been going crazy over Pure Melt’s Strawberry Meltshake for a few years now, and having only tried it once before, I had a bit of a hard time understanding it. This version from Trichomies is definitely the best version of it I’ve tried and it’s a pretty strong offering overall.

Kush Mints - Swell Cultivation
Kush Mints has been a favorite of mine since I tried it the first time about four years ago, so when I get to try an excellent version of it, it’s a real treat. Shmu got in this version from Swell Cultivation in Maine and even when it hit the menu before I saw it, my personal hype meter maxed out. For those unfamiliar with Kush Mints, it’s a hybrid between Bubba Kush and Animal Mints bred by Seed Junky Genetics. It’s a parent in a bunch of my favorite strains, Georgia Pie, Secret Cookies and Zushi to make a few.

Pink Paloma - Tread Lightly Collective
Pink Paloma I think is the true star of Tread’s last run here and a serious winner. Like other Raw Genetics strains, this has been in the zeitgeist for the last couple of years, and tread selected something seriously special. This is a hybrid of Cherry Paloma x Z Pie, and Tread selected this from seed out of only a single pack.

Queen Anne - High Mart
I got to try High Mart a couple of times last year and thought they had better than average candy flavors, but after Queen Anne won on a Proper Doinks duel against the infamous B-Eazy. It’s a hybrid of Rainbow Belts and Pistachio Gelato bred by the same guy as Pistachio Gelato, but we don’t have to talk about that.

Party Popperz - Super Dope (CA)
It’s been a good long while since I’ve covered Super Dope in my reviews and the first time I’m covering Party Popperz, but thankfully District Chiefer came through with all the new Super Dope releases. This strain was originally a collab with Doja Pak of Runtz x Blumosa, originally intended to be Blue Gatorade, and the branding is sort of a crossover of all the characters from the Popperz series.

Zsunami - Upstate Gardens
I first learned about Upstate Gardens about a year ago when I went to Not Your Average Fest, and it’s been a mystery since then why it’s not more common on import menus. Terpy Dabber now is stocking their Zsunami flower after he started carrying their rosin earlier in the year, and if I’m being real their flower hits with better first impressions than the already exceptional rosin.

Blue Zangria - Tread Lightly Collective
Tread has been growing some really interesting work in the DMV but so far the most intriguing has been the Blue Zangria, which I’ve been following intently since he popped the seeds. The strain is a hybrid of Rainbow Zangria x Blue Lobster released by Cipher Genetics in collaboration with Maine Trees.

Kushibaya - John Doe Supply Co.
Terpy Dabber was insistent that I tried the new John Doe Supply Co, and hit me with a sample of their Kushibaya, which we haven’t gotten the genetics on yet. Like the Kamikaze, it follows a sort of Japanese heritage inspired design and is a Z cut and/or hybrid. The nugs are just caked in resin, and while they’re not huge, they’re much prettier than a lot of Z tends to be.
