Biscotti - District Chiefer House Curation
Most hardcore enthusiasts, especially younger folks, are huge fans of Biscotti, and I’m no different. I’ve tried it a handful of times from brands like Doja and Connected, who, along with Berner who named the strain, paved the way for the strain to become a mainstay. This version from District Chiefer has a lot of things going for it; the sensory traits are textbook if we’re being real. Biscotti is a hybrid of (Gelato 41 x Motorbreath) bred by Dan Dango while on contract for Connected, and this one brings the absolute best of the nutty gas and slow-mo effect. The sample is from one of those Cali facilities that’s sort of Doja/Super Dope adjacent, but like much of District Chiefer’s stuff, the value comes from him retailing loose bags rather than branded. While the flavor is right on the money with equal parts hazelnut and new leather, the smoothness isn’t great, despite the strong performance and acceptable freshness. Overall, if you haven’t had a good Biscotti in a while, this sample is a good Biscotti, just not the best I’ve tried. It checks a lot of boxes, and you’re certainly getting your money’s worth, which has always ben consistent in the District Chiefer experience.
