Sour Glue - Ryder Farms

Ryder Farms has set their stake in the ground, but don’t get it twisted, these guys are not just showing up out of thin air. Sour Glue has been moving around the traditional market from the Maine underground scene, and it’s gotten a reputation from the proverbial beta testers for being truly lethal smoke. If you’ve been reading for a while, you may have read the review I did of Sour Glueberry on Charas’ house line of rosin, which seriously grew on me over the testing period. This hybrid of (Sour Diesel x Glueberry) is a bit different than that expression – in a good way to be sure – adding much more complexity to the flavor on top of impressive effects. In many ways from an industrial standpoint, this is what we in the business would call “not market viable” but from an enthusiast perspective, it’s everything you could possibly want and so much more. Even though the nugs are long and take quite a bit of time to dry and cure compared to a lot of other modern genetics, the nugs are the type of sticky that people talk about missing from the early 2010s. On top of that, the flavor is multifaceted with a distinct saturated diesel tailpipe over chocolate Thai and blue cotton candy. It has all the traits of the parents but the interplay makes it worth more than the sum of its parts. Effects wise, this potency is truly elite. Maybe the most intense outright potency and possibly the longest effect duration of anything I’ve smoked so far this year. The effect profile is not what I would consider un-functional, but despite the Sour in the lineage, it's also not particularly energizing. It just gets you really, really high. Overall Sour Glue is one of the best things I've smoked this year thanks to its unique lineage and obvious care from the organic soil regimen. This strain is unmistakably east coast, but in my opinion has similar saying power as Secret Cookies, and Blue Lobster. When you get a chance to try this strain, it is a must try especially this batch, which is unbelievable.
