Trich Beast - Ryder Farms
Ryder Farms had been telling me about Trich Beast and some Solfire hybrids they had been running in their garden, and as like other Solfire strains from recent reviews, I’ve been pleasantly surprised. So far Ryder Farms is batting 1000 with samples and the heat doesn’t end there. Previously, I’ve not really enjoyed Bahama Mama, the Exotic Genetix collab, Bahama Berry and other Black Banana hybrids, and this one bucks that trend. I’ve said before that I’m a certified Honey Banana hater, but the first thing I thought when smoking this is “wow this is like Honey Banana if it had some balls.” Of course, this sample has some other great features like the resin and being purple. But boiled down to my two most important criteria – flavor and effect – this one is undeniably strong in both and is not something I would be mad if stayed on the Ryder roster for a while. Where the flavor is tropical melon, underripe bananas and a balanced gas, the effect is quite refreshing and chill. It’s solidly potent and smooth with more head change than body relaxation and a good bit of eye-droop. Overall, Trich Beast was one I was not expecting to particularly enjoy or be impressed by, but it’s and resin monster and the true sleeper of the lineup.
