Duck Sauce - Ted’s Budz
Of all of the distros of popular sweet strains in the LA area, Ted’s Budz is possibly the most infamous, and their signature Duck Sauce is one I’ve been dying to try for years. They made waves about two years ago when they released this strain with a clear direct print bag meant to look like a duck sauce wrapper, and it’s one of the most successful strain branding campaigns. The genetics on this one are supposedly (Platinum Zkittlez x Mochi Gelato) but it expresses similar to a lot of the older generation Runtz hybrids that came around at the time. The aroma and flavor are super fruity with the candy funk sitting over the lime rind candy. It’s got quite the eye droop in the effect but it’s not quite the slump and lean you get from a lot of LCG hybrids. District Chiefer is known for having excellent value on the menu, but part of the bargain is the lack of packaging. Personally, I think the flavor is fresh and flavorful, so you might have to just take my word for it that this is the real deal and the custody checks out. Overall, I can see after smoking this why it was such a phenomenon when it debuted, and I honestly think the staying power is underrated today. This flower is an excellent value Cali offering, and I especially enjoyed the flavor.
