Gary Payton - High Road
I got to try High Road’s Gary Payton as flower a number of years ago as flower, and while they mostly don’t run it anymore as flower, it’s still kicking around as flower from other top producers in Maine. Recently I also had their Cereal Milk rosin, the same cross but the #18 pheno rather than the #20 pheno, which was like crushed berries in acetone, which is one of my favorite flavors of the year. My favorite feature of High Road’s Gary is the soapy note that it has deep in the flavor, and even though this is the full-spec version of this strain, that killer trait is still here and clear. Gary Payton is hybrid of (Snowman x Y Life) originally bred by Powerzzzup and it’s one of the cornerstone strains of the Cookies lineup and an official collab with the Supersonics star. The flavor on this hybrid is not as strong as you would find on their Tier 1, but the effect is just as medicinal and the whole thing is a great value, especially in bulk. The potency is pretty impressive, and it comes with a textbook euphoric slump effect. Overall, if I were the kind of person buying bulk rosin for daily medication, this Gary Payton from High Road is what I would be smoking for the next little while. At the right temperatures, the flavor is phenomenal and the effect at any temperature is killer medicine.
