Meduza - Hall of Flame
It’s abundantly clear I love smoking on award-winning flavors, so I’m here thankful today that I finally got to rendezvous with Clubhouse Drops to try this Meduza. Hall of Flame podiumed for Zours at Zalyumpix 2025 and also placed third in the Rookie of the Year category in the Billy’s last month. The sample arrived a little bit beat up, which is known to happen when flower goes coast to coast, but after smoking it myself it’s clear why this made rank. Meduza is a hybrid of Verzace x Z, which makes it a Z backcross. This is I believe the third take on a Z Bx1 I’ve tried this year and each of them take the flavor of the Z and whatever it’s crossed with to the next level. When I tried Verzace last year, I found that it was mostly candy with just a bit of the Z flavor present, and Meduza is much more fruit forward in the flavor which balances out the candy bite. The flavor is the hallmark feature of this strain, and it’s easy to see how it would stand out especially in a pile of other candy strains. The smoking experience is super smooth, which tracks from the level of freshness I got on blend. The potency is also formidable, but the extra Z in the hybrid makes it more functional and have more of a focus effect, as well as a driftier comedown. Overall, Meduza is a great option from Cali, and it’s obvious why the brand has been winning awards. The flavor on this sample was excellent, and the smoke was strong, but for an eighth of this price, I expect one or two other traits to also be extraordinary. Regardless, working with Clubhouse drops was easy and operationally discrete, and I recommend it for anyone looking for easy access to gold standard Cali options.
