Mega Z Blue - Super Dope (CA)

Back a couple of years ago when Super Dope was at their peak popularity, Mega Z Blue was one of the most sought after flavors in the country. It was a strong translation of the tissue culture Z cut, and I’m sad to report this flavor just doesn’t hold up. Don’t get me wrong, this is still solid smoke with strong effects, but my standards for Z hybrids are higher than most casual smokers will get in their life, and this sample did not meet them. The effects are still the proper chill and focus you expect from Z but it’s also got a solid amount more punch than you would expect from most Z samples. The rosin is also very clean and smooth to smoke, which is expected at this price point. The main issue here is the flavor. It’s still lime peels and a lot of sweet grease, but it’s a far cry from the deep lime flavor from previous flower batches. Without putting out any unfair speculations, this does not taste like the same strain I remember from years ago. Overall, while the quality expectations and effects meet my expectations for any sample of rosin, the things that make Mega Z Blue special are lacking. This rosin is still better quality than what Super Dope was putting in their jars years ago, especially with how much margin for error you have with the temperature you can hit it at, but if you’re running to this flavor out of nostalgia, mega Z Emerald will be more your speed.
