Zen Master - Harbor Headstash house cultivation
Last time I smoked Harbor Headstash, I noted that it was a super unique flavor profile, and that continues with his Zen Master. Xeno Seed Co has been making some frankly insane hybrids, and this is no exception. Zen Master is a hybrid of (Hi-Octane/Permanent Marker x Black Bubblegum), and even folks who’ve smoked a lot of Permanent Marker or bubblegum terps will find the flavor combination to be quite novel. It took a little while for the buds to fully dry and cure from Harbor Headstash but once you grind it up, the nose really jumps out at you. It immediately registers as bubble gum and even gas, but the bottom note is the familiar Sherb funk we see in a lot of candies. The flavor, however, is reconfigured and we get Sharpie bubblegum up front and a lingering halitosis. Both of these flavors from Harbor Headstash are notably potent, with the Zen Master being specifically heavy in the eyes and incredibly relaxing. A lot of Perm hybrids have been a bit racy in my chemistry, but this feels much more cozy and balanced. Like the other cultivars kicking around Harbor Headstash’s garden, the permutation of flavor and effect are unusual and excellent. Overall, Zen Master is a great expression, but I’d like to see it run again and get more dialed in. I enjoyed it, but it took a while for the aromas to become prime, and there’s room for the flavor to open up. What matters the most is that it feels good when you smoke it, and this one absolutely hits that mark.
