Pop Smoke - Harbor Headstash house cultivation
As long as I’ve known Harbor Headstash, he’s been trying to grow his own fire flower, and after a few years of hard work, we’ve arrived at a menu ready batch of Pop Smoke. The genetics remind me of a lot of the things I was smoking in 2022 but with the benefit of being grown in the same state I live in. Locally grown flower might be the products I get most excited about because of how fresh they usually are, and in this case the nugs were just a tad underripe. Not a big deal after a bit of TLC in a Miron jar. The local fulfillment compounded with it being a hybrid of (Grape Gas and Supreme Runtz) and being wrapped in one of my designs and it’s just all hype for me. Once finally ground up, the aroma is incensing from the fuel, sweet funk and concord grape notes. The scents perfectly translate to the flavor and leaves a sweet fuel halitosis that’s positively lip-smacking. In terms of effects, you get a similar slump you would expect from the genetic combination but the feeling is more of an upper body tension release rather than being heavy around the eyes. It’s reasonably potent, but not blisteringly so, which I would say makes it a great strain for during the day and afternoon. With all these great things, my one critique is that I think there’s room for improvement in the dry and cure, which marginally affected the freshness and smoothness, but that makes me curious for the next batch rather than antagonistic about it being released at all. Overall, Harbor Headstash did a great job with Pop Smoke. There’s a bit of room for this to be further dialed in, but the combination of flavors is strong and unique and there was obviously a lot of care put into this product.
