Cheddar Wedges - Blended Family Farms

Another debut of a local grower, Blended Family Farms reached out and submitted his Cheddar Wedges for review, and samples like this are why I accept review submissions the way I do. It’s clearly an off the beaten path genetic grown with much care, and it’s clear Blended Family Farms is only on its way up from here. Cheddar Wedges is a hybrid of (UK Cheese x Triangle Kush) made by CSI Humboldt and this, now being the third excellent sample of a Cheese hybrid I’ve tried in the last year, has for sure turned me into a Cheese lover. While I generally want strains to smell and taste exactly the same, Cheese hybrids are basically the exception that enforces the rule. The nose has a fermented, aged quality to it, but once you break it down in the grinder and especially on the tastebuds, it’s got a lot more gas and diesel to it. There’s a bit of an extra sweet gas note that you also get from the Triangle Kush, and that translates to impressive potency and some novel effects. Cheddar wedges hits with a heavy body relaxation along with a relaxing but not slumpy or unfunctional head change. Most “sativa” enthusiasts would categorize this as having a racy effect, but for me it hits as creativity rather than anxiety. Overall, Cheddar Wedges from Blended Family Farms is absolutely something where you just have to try it rather than subscribing to any preconcieved notions. It’s got a lot of traits from Diesels and Kush hybrids that I enjoy all in one wildly stimulating package. If this is the ground floor for Blended Family Farms, there’s no telling the heights left to go.
