Pioneer Piff - Funk House Farm

Welcoming a new vendor to the community is always a serious pleasure for me. We’re long past the salad days of I71, so finding someone like Jane Doe Deliveries that’s in it for the love of the game and to chase the dragon on quality, is always special. Jane Doe is already off to a strong start with Pioneer Piff from Funk House Farm, which I was offered for review earlier in the year but declined to wait for a more dialed in batch. What we have here is for sure that. It’s a hybrid between (Fort Collins Cough x Harlem Dreams) and it expresses as a fermented berry over metal and sweet skunk. We really don’t see a lot of Cough line in modern genetic lineups, probably because it’s super dense, small and ugly, but the strawberry Flintstone vitamin note and golf ball structure blends well when hit to a piney, metallic fluffy Haze. The dense nugs are also quite sticky and the aroma really explodes on blend. The effect is quite buzzy with a noticeable head change and quick onset. A lot of times strains that peak high and quickly like this, as opposed to being more body relaxing with a creepier effect, also results in a heavy crash, and thankfully that’s not the case with this sample. Overall, Pioneer Piff is another strong addition to Funk House Farm’s menu, and Jane Doe Deliveries made the right choice curating their flavors for the service’s first drop. It’s a strong batch of a strong strain served with the proverbial smile, and it’s undeniable even if Piff isn’t usually my first choice.
