Bubblegum Popperz - Super Dope (CA)
Bubblegum Popperz used to have the reputation for being the runt of the lineup, and not just because of the genetics, being a cut labeled “LA Runtz.” Super Dope is back in business with this rosin that is a complete 180º and an easy recommendation from the lineup. That could be the end of the review right there, but this also might be one of the best Runtz rosins I’ve seen to date. Like I mentioned in the Cherry Popperz review, Sherb line strains tend to not wash well and not be as impressive compared to other aromas like the flower is. In this case it was totally worth it. The flavor definitely hits that same deeply artificial sugar note you expect from the flower, but this rosin is notable very clean and super smooth. For the last few years, folks have been wondering what “LA Runtz” actually is and I still don’t know, but the flavors on this reminded me a lot of the Bolo x Marker hybrids I smoked a bunch last summer. The potency on these is also solid, predictable Runtz slump effect, and generally cozy all-around. Overall, Bubblegum Popperz really impressed this round, and it’s something I’d recommend easily, especially to folks who feel scorned by jars of this flavor in the past. It’s a whole new day out here for Super Dope!
