Yellow Mermaid - Bungludetch Farms
For the last year or so, I’ve been seeing an unreal amount of hype for Yellow Mermaid, bred by rising star Flavor Designer, the house genetics out of Pheno Addicts. So when DC Source hit me with the opportunity to check out this despite the buzz about Bungludetch’s business situation, I was psyched to finally see what’s what. A lot of enthusiasts have suggested that Yellow Mermaid is like a better version of Yellow Zushi, and with the hybrid being (Yellow Zushi x Bebesita), there’s a good reason to expect such. One complaint that a lot of people have with the original Yellow Zushi is that it doesn’t hit very hard. Bebesita, which comes from MAC and Triangle Mints, makes it so Mermaid doesn’t haave that problem giving the hybrid a a rapid onset of punchy potency. The head change is pretty balanced giving off the body relaxation with head stimulation. Given the main aroma is the Z notes, I was a bit surprised it didn’t have any focus traits, but the punch in the other direction made up for it. Yellow Mermaid so far has been a strain that I can’t stop huffing inside the jar, Z notes are enchanting to me, and the extra complexity really enhances the experience. Overall, Bungludetch’s Yellow Mermaid came in strong this round and was a far better product than anything I’d seen from Bung in the past. I’ve always enjoyed Yellow Zushi, but the extra heaviness from the Bebesita makes this excellent for seasoned smokers, and it has the quality I expect from DC Source’s offerings.
