Apples & Bananas - Pleasant Effects
I’ve gone on record to say that I’m the biggest fan of Apples & Bananas in the world, and if there’s one I could smoke forever it would be Pleasant Effects’ version. This was one of the first strains I smoked from Pleasant Effects a couple of years ago, and while the planned final tour was a way for the strain to go out with a bang, I’m really glad it’s back. Apples & Bananas started as a collab between Compound Genetics and Cookies, and it’s a hybrid between (Now n Later x Jet Fuel Gelato). Pleasant Effects has dialed in the tech to really bring out the gas notes in the aroma, but the predominant note is Flinstone’s vitamin fragrant fruit. This also carries through to the flavor which hits with equal parts deep gas and fruity fragrance. The flavor notes are quite saturated. They race each other neck and neck on the inhale and the gas lingers a bit on the exhale. What’s even more noticeable is the blistering potency. It’s a full body droopy eye and muscle relaxation effect with a laser onset head change. Even seasoned smokers will recognize the intensity. Overall, Apples & Bananas from Pleasant Effects had some big shoes to fill but it clearly laces up and runs a pick for a flashy dunk. This strain checks all the boxes you think of and all the ones you don’t and the ticket is more than justifiable for this truly elite quality.
