Blue Bayou- T-BARZ
Every now and then, DC Source comes in clutch with some dank from a brand I’ve never heard of, and he’s done it yet again with this Blue Bayou from T-Barz. I’m always a little skeptical of brands that use art like this on 100ml Miron jars, but the quality from T-Barz’s second release is a pleasant surprise. The genetics are listed as a Blue Nerdz Bx1 with Gushers to make the hybrid, and it reminds me of Blue Ripz from Doja EK’s candy line. The eye appeal is among the best I’ve seen from any candy all year as the nugs aren’t smushed up basically at all. The resin glands are huge and mostly in tact as well, which makes the sticky nugs prime for evaluation. The nose is the pretty standard candy funk you would expect, but the lingering note has a little bit more heavy confectionary sweetness. In the flavor, that lingering note translates as a deep gas that you get from Biscotti and Gushers. It also means the effect has a lot more of that dialed in pure relaxation rather than the super slump you get from the original Blue Nerdz. The potency outright is also pretty impressive with a reasonably long duration as well. Overall, Blue Bayou is a real prime catch for the DC Source menu and is one of the highest quality candy’s I’ve gotten to try. T-Barz set himself up for success with this cut from Global Genetics, but the extra elbow grease from doing it all in-house really shows.
