Zimosa #2 - 710 Labs
I’ve been smoking a bit more 710 Labs this year, but I’ve been curious about their flower for a good long while after seeing countless gorgeous photos of the buds on Reddit. My expectations for Zimosa were high and low in different respects, and overall it kind of subverted those expectations in many categories. Z x Mimosa is one of my favorite orange flavors, and by now that hybrid has become a staple of Symbiotic Genetics, with my love for it coming from Papermill and Hidden Forest Farms’ Candied Oranges. My expectation was a balanced orange zing over fruit and grease on the backend, but the reality was something far more Mimosa dominant in the flavor. The effects I expected to be buzzy in the way I’ve previously described as making my hands not work, but this sample was a bit more reserved in the effect. It provided more of a balanced refreshing effect with a bit of that Z focus; less screwdriver and more mimosa in mixology terms. The potency outright is pretty good and it’s a pretty smooth smoke, which I expect from this type of product. Overall, Zimosa #2 from 710 Labs is some obviously high quality flower at a reasonable price point, but compared to a lot of the other organic grown flower I’ve experienced, this doesn’t quite match up in either quality or price, especially in the flavor where orange Starburst and terroir isn’t good enough to be considered elite.
