Blue Waffles - Nebula Gardenz

I wrote before about the rising stardom of Nebula Gardenz, and probably the strain of theirs I was the most excited for is Blue Waffles. The name it obviously a catch, but beyond that, these terps are really unique, especially for being a bagseed of London Pound Cake 75. LPC 75 is originally a hybrid of Sunset Sherb x Nepali OG, which gives the classic Sherb more sweet fuel in the flavor and more sedation in the effect. With bagseeds, you never know where the pollen came from, even though most people assume it was from a low late pollen sac on the same plant. Compared to the original LPC 75, Blue Waffles is much more tart and fragrant compared to the confectionary sweetness of the original. This one has much more of that Forum Cookie fragrance and a sort of blueberry syrup note in the nose. The nugs were packed a bit tight, but they were reasonably fresh, and once ground up the aroma really explodes. The flavor is basically the same as the nose, quite saturated and with a good halitosis on the end. The gassy blueberry syrup notes translate to impressive potency, but the duration isn’t that long compared to a lot of other strains I’ve smoked recently. The effects feel relaxing with a bit of sedation but no real edge or crash, which I really appreciate. All in, Blue Waffles from Nebula Gardenz is a cool offering, but the batch doesn’t seem maximally dialed. The smoking experience is really good and clean, but I think future batches could have a more intense effect. Compared to other offerings from Cali at this quality level, the price is market low, even though the ticket is a little expensive than high end east coast flavors. Overall, I enjoyed the smoke and can see why other folks are enjoying it, even when I recognize some more potential in this offering.
