Açaí Berry Gelato 49 - Shmu the Canna Prophet house curation
If you’re familiar with the story of Gelato, you remember that there are about six cuts of them floating around. 33 and 41 are the most popular today, but the others are still unique and interesting in their own rite. Açaí Berry Gelato is the #49 cut, and it’s certainly earned its name. Of all the original cuts, it’s probably the least gassy but definitely the most crushed berry forward and flavor coating fruity.

Gas Face - Shmu the Canna Prophet house curation
You may be reading this and thinking “dang there have been a lot of Shmu menu items on review lately” but the reason for that is because value for money especially at the oz rate, the listings are super competitive and there’s a great variety. Gas Face is a great example of this. The nugs presented are massive and swollen just the way I appreciate, but what really got me is the flavor.

Head Hunter - Shmu the Canna Prophet house curation
It’s on record somewhere on this site that I’m a big fan of Gush Mints, probably more than the original Gushers at this point. In general, Purple City tend to be reliably enjoyable for me, so naturally seeing Legend OG x Gush Mints from Head Hunter, I had to try it off Shmu’s menu. Lucky for me this surpassed my expectations.

Tropaya - Flavor Farming
The flavor is much more “trop” than “paya,” which personally I prefer but others might prefer more sharp funk off the nose. Like everything else off Shmu’s selection of Flavor Farming samples, this stuff smokes smooth and clean, which is appreciate for rosin at this price point. The hallmark of this sample though is the effects which are super slumpy and full bodied.

Struckleburst - Upward Organics
I’ve only gotten to try Upward Organics a few times, but every time I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the experience and specifically the flavor. The smoothness has been great, the luster is incredible and it’s safe to say they’re in the upper echelon of sungrown producers on the east coast

Acapulco Gold - Dungeon Valley Farm
Let’s not beat around the bush here, Dungeon Valley’s Acapulco Gold is not the hue you’d expect from very good rosin, but I want to ask readers to suspend their disbelief to the level of the plot of basically any film where Dolph Lundgren is cast. Immediately when you open the jar, you’re met with stinky lime rinds, allspice and pine in a way that keeps up with today’s bleeding edge hash genetics.

Tickle Burger - Funk House Farm
I reviewed Tickle Burger last year, but considering how good the last two samples were and that the review has seemingly become lost media, I requested another review sample of the Tickle Burger so I could tell about it again.

Maple Dunks - Dungeon Valley Farm
Dungeon Valley was gracious enough to let me sample another couple of grams of his hash, starting with Maple Dunks. This strain is one of Bloom hybrids, so naturally it hashes the way you’d expect. It’s a hybrid of Gary Payton x Black Maple and right off rip you notice ripe gassy grape coming off the gooey blonde dollop.

Pink Pony - Faraway Farmstead
Part of why I was excited about Pink Pony was for the Chappell Roan name, but after learning about the genetics I was hype to try another killer energizing strain that east coasters will love.

Tropikarma - Flavor Farming
When you hear Trop most of the time, you think bright citrus terps, but this one is much more of a mild blood orange with notes of cherry and a lot of fuel. The effect is also refreshing, relaxing and reminds me of the way a frozen drink and a warm breeze feels.

Skywalker OG - Funk House Farm
Skywalker from Funk House is an excellent OG sample and very textbook for that genetic. I feel like there isn’t a whole lot to say about OG that hasn’t been said, but once you smoke it, you’ll probably sit down and shut up too.

Rainbow Sowahh- Flavor Farming
I’ve been really enjoying the strains Flavor Farming has been breeding with Sowah, and Rainbow Sowah is absolutely another banger. It’s a hybrid of RS11 x Sowahh, and while a lot of people debate over whether the Karma Sours are “real” Sour, I think this is still exactly what I envision for a cross of RS11 and Sour.

Ruby Waves - Skunkfoot Farms
Ruby Waves has been on my radar for a minute since they told me about it at the ADHD Dead event in December. I really enjoyed their Gas Cap 11 when I tried it a couple of years ago on recommendation of JAH Apothecary, so hearing them cross that with Cherry Pie excited me a lot. Right off the bat, the nug reeks of explosive gas, which opens up even more on the blend.

Sunday Driver - Indoor Plant Kingdom (IPK)
Over the years I’ve pretty aggressively avoided Sunday Driver and after smoking this version from IPK, I definitely think that was a mistake. While being on this grape renaissance, this hybrid of Grape Pie x Fruity Pebbles OG has really struck a chord.

DOUBLE FEATURE - Flavor Farming II
Two more excellent additions to the Flavor Farming tier 2 lineup

Molotov Skunktail #16 - Weaving Genetics
By all accounts this is not a strain I should like, but ever since smoking Skunktail the first time a few years ago I’ve been hooked. The experience reminds me of getting a sugar rush from orange juice in the morning when I was a kid, and while I normally don’t smoke the intensely cerebral buzzy strains, Skunktail is irresistible.

Apehangers OG - Funk House Farm
I’ve tried this before once or twice from Funk House, but this newest batch is far and away the best it’s been. If you’re an east coast gas head, this is one strain you must get your hands on. It’s a Karma Genetics hybrid of GG4 x Headbanger OG, and it’s got all the best features from both. It’s sticky, dense, super resinous, has a wild hue and it’s louder that Sturgis.

Dirty Chem Haze - Beast Coast Terps house curation
I’ve spoken a lot about recognizing good game, even if I don’t preferentially like the weed, and Dirty Chem Haze is exactly that. The nugs are just stunning top to bottom, but the terps are just not for me.

Ztan - Flavor Farming
Ztan is Flavor Farming’s own creation thats a hybrid of Z x Zowahh, which makes it a Zkittlez Bx with Karma Sour. When I first saw this back in December, immediately I knew it was going to be the new flagship flavor, from it’s excellent appearance – especially for a Z hybrid – to killer aroma, and just three months later this fresh batch confirms that has been the case.

Cereal Milk evolution: How Cookies has milked its marketing potential
Cookies has a lot of strains that we consider to be icons even in today’s hyper marketed cannabis world, but possibly the unsung hero of the whole brand is Cereal Milk. It was one of the first strains that was released under the iteration of the brand as we know how it operates today, but it’s also selected with some fairly old school philosophy. Since then, they’ve brought the best toget and ran it back again and again for Cereal A La Mode and Cinnamon Milk.
