Pink Paloma - Tread Lightly Collective
I recently reviewed Tread’s Blue Zangria, which I was incredibly hype for, but Pink Paloma I think is the true star of the show here. Like other Raw Genetics strains, this has been in the zeitgeist for the last couple of years, and tread selected something seriously special. This is a hybrid of Cherry Paloma x Z Pie, and Tread selected this from seed out of only a single pack. Even though there’s a lot of talk about big pheno hunts, Tread’s work shows that with a proper palate and strong seeds to work with, you can find truly excellent flavors. Immediately when you open the jar, the aroma screams from the fresh and resinous nugs. Cannabis genetics isn’t usually simple mendelian genetics for every trait, and this one shows that expertly by having an aroma and flavor in exact proportion to the lineage. After the dead smooth inhale, you get mostly the Georgia pie kerosene candy flavor but it comes with some piercing orange and fruity Z notes that compliment the gritty main note nicely. The Tropicana terps sort of sit on top so they register first, but the lingering halitosis is something you would get from a good Biscotti or Kush Mints; all held together with super tasty Z. The effect is also deliriously potent, with a noticeable eye droop and head change but also a ton of muscle relaxation. The Z in the lineage also gives this more focus trait and the Cherry Cookies takes the edge off and make it super relaxing. Overall, Tread’s cut and run of Pink Paloma is undeniable fire. Beyond the incredible and complex aroma and flavor, the extraordinary potency, and proper freshness it preforms very strong and I think there’s something in here for everyone to love. Tread really shot the moon with this one, and I’m grateful I could find this grown right here in the DMV.
